Ordering the wrong cartridge is the most common (and most avoidable) printing mistake. Here is the 30-second method we recommend to every customer.
1. Find your printer's model number
Look for a label on the front or top of your printer — for example HP LaserJet Pro M404dn or Brother HL-L2350DW. The model number is also printed on a sticker on the back or bottom of the machine.
2. Or find the cartridge code
If you still have the old cartridge, the code is printed right on it: HP 58A, TN-760, CF258A and so on. Either the printer model or the cartridge code is enough.
3. Type it into our cartridge finder
