Frequently asked questions about our printer cartridges, shipping, and support
Below you will find answers to the questions our customers ask most often. If you do not see what you are looking for, our team is happy to help — email support@gstoner.com, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ET, or visit our contact page.
How do I find the right cartridge for my printer?
There are two easy ways to find a guaranteed match:
- Search by printer model — enter your exact printer model (for example, HP LaserJet Pro M404dn or Brother HL-L2350DW) in the search bar and we will show every genuine cartridge that fits it.
- Search by cartridge code — if you already know the part number printed on your current cartridge or its box (for example, CF258A, TN760, or Canon 055), search that code directly.
The model and cartridge code are usually printed on a label inside the printer, on the front of the existing cartridge, or in your printer manual. If you are unsure, email us your printer model and we will confirm the correct supply for you.
Are your cartridges genuine (OEM) or compatible?
Every cartridge we sell is 100% genuine (OEM) — made by the original printer manufacturer (HP, Canon, Brother, or Epson) and identical to what shipped with your printer. We do not sell compatible, remanufactured, or refilled cartridges. Each item arrives brand new and factory sealed, with the manufacturer's full page-yield and print-quality guarantees.
Will these cartridges affect my printer warranty?
No — quite the opposite. Because everything we sell is a genuine OEM cartridge made by your printer’s own manufacturer, using it keeps your printer warranty fully intact. It is exactly the supply your printer was designed for. If you ever have an issue with one of our products, we will make it right.
What does “page yield” mean and how long will a cartridge last?
Page yield is the approximate number of pages a cartridge can print, measured at about 5% page coverage following the industry-standard ISO/IEC 19752 test for monochrome and ISO/IEC 19798 for color. Five percent coverage roughly equals a typical business letter with a few short paragraphs. Your real-world results depend on what you print: heavy text, graphics, photos, or bold fonts use more toner or ink and lower the actual yield, while light text-only documents may exceed the rated yield. Use the page-yield figure to compare cartridges, not as an exact guarantee.
What is the difference between standard and XL / high-yield cartridges?
Standard and XL cartridges produce the same print quality — the difference is capacity. XL (high-yield) cartridges hold more toner or ink and print more pages before needing replacement, which usually lowers your cost per page and means fewer changes. They are ideal if you print frequently. Standard cartridges cost less up front and suit lighter or occasional printing. The page-yield figure listed on each product page makes it easy to compare value between the two.
Toner, ink, or imaging drum — what do I need?
- Toner is a fine powder used by laser printers. If your printer is a laser model, you need toner cartridges.
- Ink is a liquid used by inkjet printers. If your printer is an inkjet, you need ink cartridges.
- Imaging drums are a separate component in many laser printers that transfers toner onto the page. On some models the drum is built into the toner cartridge; on others it is a separate unit that lasts through several toner changes before it needs replacing.
Searching by your printer model will show exactly which of these your machine uses, so you never have to guess.
How much is shipping and how fast will my order arrive?
We offer FREE standard shipping on every order within the United States. Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET on business days are dispatched the same day; orders placed after that time, or on weekends and holidays, ship the next business day. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days. Full details are on our shipping policy page.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your order ships, we email you a tracking number and link so you can follow your package every step of the way. If you have not received tracking within one business day of ordering, please check your spam folder first, then contact us at support@gstoner.com and we will resend the details.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time we ship within the United States only. We are not able to deliver to international addresses yet, but we hope to expand in the future. We appreciate your understanding.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy. Unopened, unused cartridges in their original sealed packaging can be returned for a full refund. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Please note that opened or installed cartridges are not returnable unless they are defective. For complete instructions, see our returns page.
My cartridge is defective or I received the wrong item — what now?
We will make it right at no cost to you. If a cartridge arrives defective or we sent the wrong item, contact support@gstoner.com with your order number and a brief description. We will send a prepaid return label and promptly ship a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. There is nothing to pay for return shipping in these cases.
How do I install a toner cartridge?
Installation is quick and tool-free on most laser printers. General steps:
- Open the printer’s front or top cover to access the cartridge bay.
- Slide out the old cartridge and set it aside for recycling.
- Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and take off any protective tape, seals, or covers.
- Gently rock the cartridge side to side a few times to distribute the toner evenly.
- Slide the new cartridge in until it clicks into place, then close the cover.
- Print a test page to confirm everything is working.
Always follow the specific instructions in your printer manual, as steps vary slightly by model.
Is checkout secure and what payment methods do you accept?
Yes. All orders are processed through Shopify’s secure, PCI-compliant checkout, which encrypts your payment information. We accept major credit and debit cards along with the popular digital wallets and express payment options available at checkout. Your card details are never stored on our servers.
Do you offer bulk or business pricing?
Yes. If you are an office, school, reseller, or any business that orders in volume, we would be glad to discuss bulk and business pricing. Reach out through our contact page with the cartridges and quantities you need, and our team will put together a quote for you.
How should I store spare cartridges?
Proper storage keeps spare cartridges in top condition until you need them. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, store them upright in their original sealed packaging, and avoid extreme temperatures or humidity. Leaving the protective seals in place until installation prevents toner or ink from drying out or leaking, so your spares are ready to perform when you are.
